Pacific Infrastructure Group Acquires Redbox Design Group, Expanding Integrated Infrastructure, Planning and Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Capability
Canberra, Australia – 6th May 2026 – Pacific Infrastructure Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Redbox Design Group, a Canberra-based landscape architecture and urban design practice, as part of its ongoing expansion of capabilities for creating better sustainable communities across Australia, Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific region.
The acquisition brings Redbox Design Group into the Pacific Infrastructure Group alongside MC Infrastructure, a civil engineering and environmental firm and JRK Surveys, a land surveying and property consulting business. Together, the group offers an integrated service platform across urban planning, landscape architecture, surveying, civil and geotechnical engineering, infrastructure advisory and project development.
“The Redbox team have been doing uniquely excellent work for a long time and they bring a quality of design expertise and creativity that is very rare to find, so we are beyond delighted to welcome them into the group” said Peter Hawke, Managing Director of Pacific Infrastructure Group.
Redbox Design Group will continue operating from Canberra and will retain its established client focus, design-led approach and landscape architecture expertise. The acquisition will provide Redbox with access to the wider technical, commercial and regional capability of Pacific Infrastructure Group, while enabling closer collaboration across the group’s engineering, environment and surveying businesses.
David Moyle, a Principal at Redbox Design Group has expressed his enthusiasm. “Joining Pacific Infrastructure Group is a logical next step for us to expand on our legacy as major contributors to the capital city and ACT, to become part of a Group with regional reach. The affiliation with related disciplines will build on our collaborative approach to urban and landscape design, and deliver even better value for our clients, without changing the way we work or compromising our standards." Justin Schilg, Principle said "there is a very strong alignment between the values that Redbox and our clients share with Pacific Infrastructure Group’s focus on sustainable infrastructure, community development, and excellence in project design and delivery.”
The acquisition will strengthen Pacific Infrastructure Group’s ability to support government, institutional and private sector clients across areas including urban planning, land development, civil design, environmental assessment and land surveying; that will ultimately deliver better community infrastructure, housing and responsible regional development.
The group will continue to operate each business under its existing brand while progressively integrating systems, resources and project delivery capability across the broader organisation.
